PTCL broadband.
I have managed to addict myself to use dial up at my home since y2k because unfortunately there is no broadband facility available at my location so i did not have any other option except to stay connect with dial-up & all you know about the threats of web suffering while using dial up. downloading & uploading takes hours or even not possibly done due to poor
dial up connectivity. yes i don’t ever remember i was able to play some favourite online games due to inadequate speed. similarly getting online software in many cases becomes a unaccomplished task & same is the case with songs downloading.
I felt pleasure to watch advertisement of PTCL (pakistan telecommunication limited) broadband package (DSL) but unfortunately after checking the ptcl website i came to know that it was available ONLY at some major cities like peshawar, islamabad, lahore, karachi & quetta so i can’t be able to be facilitated from this package at home but however i belive its something better then nothing made by ptcl for their customers. ptcl is still the monopolistic land line provider in pakistan also provides wireless telephone service at all cities & most of villages, it proves as an effective communication tool specially in remote areas for Internet suffering & voice calls using CDMA2000 technology.
Don’t count on it being reliable even if you do get it. I got the 1Mbps package for our office as a backup. It is only good for downloads and browsing (max speed I’ve seen is about 25KB/s) and for anything critical, we use Dancom’s 512kbps DSL.

@Bilal : I got 2MB downloading speed…and it works fine with me ..normally it works upto 1.8MB.sec .. Checkout my blog ads placement and tell me is it fine or not !!
PTCL sucks big time… 1MB shared DSL is something you can compare with a 64k dedicated DSL or even less. I am not a fan of shared environment where you get the download speed next to nothing. I applied for PTCL like 4 months ago and I’ve yet to hear from them. To hell with their crap broadband. My 512k dedicated DSL (dancom) works like a charm.
I just hate this PTCL company by name though i use there Wireless service with a sucky package that is updated only in there damn website and not in real, they are cheaters scammers and they will gobble up all your money in the cards~
@khushal: cheer up honey PTCT has removed daily line Rent from its wireless loop …now Grap a card and enjoy with some other bugs lol !!
