well i am going to purcahse a camcorder soon because i often need it for my reporting job, to capture snaps & to take vedio of various events, i finally realize to spend some money on this cam because its a suitble device for me. camcorders are the combination of a camera and a video recorder in one device. it permits easy and rapid simultaneous photography and recording. there are a variety of camcorders available in the market but the question is that what really suits me because i have to spend my money on the exect camcorder that i need. for example i found this Panasonic SDR-S10 Camcorder with 10x optical zoom. i think this is better for me. its price is $ 249. some good points i noticed in this model is that in quick start mode this begins recording in just 1.7 seconds from the time the LCD screen is opened. so its preety good in situations when i suddenly want to take the vedio or photo. one the other hand it’s small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, and cool enough to take everywhere you go. Shooting video is easier and more convenient with a SD/SDHC memory card aswell.

But listen! this is not my final decission, i will look for some other models too. & yes there is a market where slightly used camcorders are available at very resonable price, i will consider them too. so let me if you people have  got some experiance in purchasing camcorders this will help me to take final decission..cheers~
