Ufone & zong particularly, mobilink up to some extent & warid quite often. All the telecoms operators are sharp competitors not by just the specific brands & tariff they offer but also in electronic media advertisements. Lately i came through the advertisements of ufone & zong. the recent entries makes me feel that there is nothing about convincing & persuasion with that product add but was just a taunting documentary. Although Ufone maintains its sense of humor by creating humorous adds which is the best part i like in it. These days Ufone & zong has captured most of the premiere add time in all major TV channels in Pakistan. it seems me that both the companies have acquired quite a healthy budget in this quarter for media adds. Dont it looks awkward to do extensive advertisement? or should i called it development in terms of media frenzy?
Ali zafar & telenor is no more associated with one another if we see inside latests in telecoms advertisement industry, this is when i switched on the TV a day before & noticed ali zafar performing in latest mobilink add. Is Ali zafar will be a loss for telenor? my answer will be no because now telenor have already acquired another brand girl “annie” which used to be a famous pop singer & a model. Telenor media campaign is however all about singing & dancing but it suits with the style of ali zafar. Now the same dose not suit with annie. anyhow lets see what new girl will do in future. Ali zafar is although a superstar in telenor media adds. he has performed & recorded many theme songs for telenor talkshawk media campaigns. One cannot forget him singing & dancing in talkwshawk advertisements. It is a fail idea to present him as a brand model in mobilink as he has already been used extensively in telenor. it will be a mismatch if he continuously signed add for mobilink.
Blogging is not all about writing posts & replying to the queries of visitors. Nor it is browsing your favorite bloggers & the exchange views with them. Between these lines there is a term called blog maintenance which also needs adequate attention if you want your blog to exist over the web in a long run. Unfortunately i was neglecting few maintenance tips & lately discovered that my blog is under the threats of some serious viruses attacks. I found my blog unaccessible at all web browsers. yes! the virus disturbed the host files. Anyways now i have came up with a new template, hope you folks like that. I managed to install the latest version of wordpress 2.8 & find few tips in to cope with spam comments. If by any chance you happen to travel at place where the language people speak & understand is other then what you know. What will you do then? yes off course your first priority will be looking for a person who has the command on both the languages. so that you can convey your message to that people easily. Particularly in the scenario of communication what will you consider in the excellence of your strengths that can help you in spreading your message to a strange community. Yes! it will be not other then your command on different languages. I am not talking about media here, i am just referring to your own ability that how can you handle different situations via effective communication.
Bertrand Russell wrote in on of his book “In former days, men sold themselves to the Devil to acquire magical powers” However but in todays age of communication this never happens. yes i do believe this is not difficult acquire powers. specifically the power of communication by learning different languages. it is believed that learning the language of superior nations is essential to acquire development, yes it is true as we can see English that is mostly understandable because it is the official language of nations that is known as the super powers of the world. but hay!the race does not ends here if you want to volunteer abroad or seek internships Argentina. you have be more distinguished in learning languages. also you can get a chance to learn some old regional languages in these cases. In fact the more you learn the more you acquire the power of communication.
Similarly if your intention is to study abroad. most of the educational institutes consider it mandatory for international students to have the standard language certification (like ILETS & TOFEL for english) Not just for study but also in the case of work visa. I have seen many folks here who was looking for a volunteer South America visa but the concerned authorities refused their application because of their poor language skills in interview. So it is your communication skills that either makes you helpless or the most successful person in the society.
While looking at the above Print media advertisement where PTCL proudly presents free internet facility over their fixed line. let me update you folks that this offer is no more valid since 16th may 2009.I came to realize this when i witnessed an outstanding amount with the tag “PTCL internet charges” in telephone bill. when i consult 1236 to inquire about this, The call center guy told me the story that from 16th may 2006 ptcl is charging on dial up internet @ RS 2/20minutes that makes it RS 6/hour. Since the last couple of months i was using PTCL dial up internet at home, Since there is no broadband facility available at my home location yet so i have no other option except to stay with it. The new charges for internet is nothing else but a sheer disappointment for folks who was return customers for PTCL fixed line service.
When PTCL introduce their wireless telephone services in Pakistan, i found nothing particular in fixed line telephone connection provided by them except the free internet availability which was launched back in November 2008, Yet that is no more available. So why to pay additional for line rent & CLI when their is a better option for dial up internet in the form of PTCL wireless. I confess that PTCL has really improved the quality of their services but one the other hand i really suspect if they didn’t alter the tariffs regarding line rent in the fixed line telephony, they will gradually lose their subscribers.
After the military operation begin in the upper part of NWFP (Pakistan). A large population started migration to other places of the country including the refugee camps for IDPs (internally displaced people) at swabi & mardan. Since it is the biggest internal migration in Pakistan’s history & a large no of people has to move from their homes to the IDP camps & other safe places in a short notice, So for the convenience of IDPs the government allow them to use their non custom paid vehicles. The vehicles which belong to non custom paid category are the one which was illegally smuggled (mostly though Afghanistan) with out custom clearance. In Pakistan these cars are in use at swat, dir & some tribal areas. These cars are sold in cheaper prices; one can bought a Toyota corolla model 1998 or 2000 at RS: 200,000 while the same model car worth about 800,000 at custom cleared vehicles in other parts of the country.
However here is a big issue of security since the day non-custom paid vehicles of IDPs are allowed in different parts of the country, especially Peshawar. Security agencies are having great trouble to regarding security issue. The recent Bomb blast at Pearl continental hotel Peshawar is a question mark why the non-custom paid vehicles are allowed since the county is already under the grip of major security threat.
An apple a day deeps doctor away is a famous quotation about the secret of healthy life. But Infact the realistic approach is some what different from it. In my part of the world it is certainly difficult to keep yourself away from the doctor just by eating an apple a day. But yet this is not impossible. Infect people knows that these drinks are unhygienic and are not good for health but they use it quench their thirst.
Today I am not going to blog about conventional health tips but I want you to be careful in summers, the contaminated water & drinks are the main reasons for throat & stomach complications. Lately i found one of my friends admitted in the hospital due to stomach problem, he lives in a highly populated city where the water is likely to be contaminated. So get yourself familiar to online pharmacy to know about latest health tips. If you are living in a city where the tap water is contaminated then don’t use it. Get a bottle of mineral water or boil the tap water before using it. Yes, make sure to you & your family away from unhygienic food & drinks.
