The iphone fame in Pakistan is at rise despite the fact that it is not officially launched here at yet. Interestingly a number of people attempt to buy the fake iphone by considering it the original one. Something similar I had experienced few days back but luckily saved my $250 from wasting it on the so called iphone. So here I am to unhide the mockery of fake iphone. By look it is appealing enough that it is certainly difficult to recognize it as the copy of iphone. This inferior iphone has the same size of touch pad screen, an apple logo & the statement manufactured in California assembled in china on the back side. You can’t say it a crap phone until you play with it for a while. Yes! After being annoyed by its poor touch pad sensitivity you must say, this is the worst iphone I had ever seen.

This iphone lacks almost every superior function that original has, it didn’t support Wi-Fi internet connectivity nor you can install apple applications from the application store, music store & iTunes. If you like to play roulette on you mobile, you will find it very difficult to enjoy a proper game using this iPhone. Its low pixels camera is crap. It didn’t support GPS navigator, it can’t even play mp3 & the funniest part is its poor touch sensor where you need a touch pen to browse. A touch pen is the part of this phone. Its sound quality is worst, listing to songs on its headphone is like listening the radio transmission of your neighboring countries at MW frequency.

I don’t know the exact price of this iphone in Pakistan but it deserves nothing more in the range of $100. Yes the credit goes to china for copying apple but remember buying this phone is a mistake, if you had ever used the genuine iphone you will prefer to throw it after using it for a couple of days. So be aware:)

However a fair chain of railway is there to connect big cities, but most of the people like to travel by road in Pakistan. One of the reason might be the good structure of roads now. It is worth mentioning that the chain of our roads is getting better after the construction of motorways in the recent decade. The Peshawar – Islamabad motorway & Islamabad to Lahore motorways are the greatest achievements in this regard that provides the efficient & comfortable transportation facility to the people.

A couple of weeks ago, I was traveling from my home town (tarbela) to Islamabad, the above photo is taken soon after when i leave burhan interchange. It is about 80 Km journey. Most of the time i use the route of motorway from burhan. Yet no other choice. although it’s been 1.5 years when the motorway was opened for traffic from Peshawar to Islamabad but the chuch interchange that connect hazro & tarbela to M1 is still not open for traffic.. We are really unfortunate in this case when an interchange that directly link tarbela to motorway is not yet constructed. the authority claims that the local community are making hurdles in the construction, all the people living in the near surroundings are sane people, i wouldn’t agree with the argument that they can stop this development at there own area. Now it’s the failure of authority or what ever, this dilemma need to be resolved now.

E- Tag is the electronic toll system at motorway in Pakistan in which the tool tax is automatically deducted from the chip that is stick on the screen of the vehicle. It makes an hassle free entry & exits from motorway interchanges & you don’t need to stay in lines to pay the tool fee physically. Get on the motorway to wealth with the slots and other free casino games at GamblingCity.net like internet video poker! E-Tag is free of cost, it’s like a pre-pay billing, you just pay for tool as much you want at the booth provided at most of the big interchanges like Islamabad, Peshawar & Lahore. they need your vehicle no & NIC no to provide you a chip sticker for your vehicle wind screen. but here the E-tag got few one negative point that it is not yet available at all interchanges of motorway. you can use this facility at selected interchanges that includes, peshawar, islamabad, lahore, faisalabad, mardan & burhan.

Pakistan is among the early & rapid adapter when it came to the use of mobile phones. The journey of telecom industry became more competitive when different telecom companies appeared in Pakistan telecom market after Y2K. Similarly different mobile phone vendors from all over the world find Pakistan their new target market with a rapidly growing mobile phone user’s .currently mobile phones business in Pakistan is turned in to a mature industry at which many peoples are busy to earn their living.

This development provide path to create a new business unit, the shops & dealers related to mobile sales, repairing & accessories are the examples. These types of shops can be found at every place, from cities to small villages and towns. There will be hardly a market where one cannot find a mobile shop. These small business units provide sale & services related to mobile phone.like new mobile sales, repairing, unlocking & stuff like ring tones, wallpapers & so forth. the youth are often busy in downloading different ring tones from the internet. yes! having more then one phone for no reason became a fashion among the youngsters these days.

This new & relatively small business unit is rapidly growing, but despite this fact, yet there is no single mobile phone manufacturer in Pakistan; all the phones sell in Pakistan are imported from foreign countries in which china is the major contributor.

If by any chance you happen to travel at place where the language people speak & understand is other then what you know. What will you do then? yes off course your first priority will be looking for a person who has the command on both the languages. so that you can convey your message to that people easily. Particularly in the scenario of communication what will you consider in the excellence of your strengths that can help you in spreading your message to a strange community. Yes! it will be not other then your command on different languages. I am not talking about media here, i am just referring to your own ability that how can you handle different situations via effective communication.

Bertrand Russell wrote in on of his book “In former days, men sold themselves to the Devil to acquire magical powers” However but in todays age of communication this never happens. yes i do believe this is not difficult acquire powers. specifically the power of communication by learning different languages. it is believed that learning the language of superior nations is essential to acquire development, yes it is true as we can see English that is mostly understandable because it is the official language of nations that is known as the super powers of the world. but hay!the race does not ends here if you want to volunteer abroad or seek internships Argentina. you have be more distinguished in learning languages. also you can get a chance to learn some old regional languages in these cases. In fact the more you learn the more you acquire the power of communication.

Similarly if your intention is to study abroad. most of the educational institutes consider it mandatory for international students to have the standard language certification (like ILETS & TOFEL for english) Not just for study but also in the case of work visa. I have seen many folks here who was looking for a volunteer South America visa but the concerned authorities refused their application because of their poor language skills in interview. So it is your communication skills that either makes you helpless or the most successful person in the society.

Some initiatives directed by the ruling government are implemented on temporary basis. Its likely to be discontinued at the arrival of new regime. Same is the situation happen with NIP, The national internship program. The Caretaker government didn’t show any interest in this program last year & a large no of fresh graduates missed this opportunity which was initiated by the existing government. The aim of the NIP was to support fresh graduates with the age not more then 25 years who didn’t find suitable job after the completion of 16 years of education. Under the National internship program a candidate will be provided on the job training at various government departments with RS 10,000 stipend for their incidental expenditures.

However a couple of days ago I came to know through one of my friend that national internship program is resurrected after the direction of prime minister. He got his posting in Islamabad. I refreshed my memory & came to know that I was also the one who applied for this last year. Surprisingly I didn’t hear from them till now. This might be due to the reason that I changed my cell number recently. However I appreciate this step of government by continuing the national internship program.

Update: The Official website of national internship program is down due to some technical problem. I confirmed this from my friend. Candidates seeking the status of their internship registration & can contact at the Central office of NIP, Establishment Department, blue area Islamabad. They have the list of candidates who have been selected for national internship program 2009 batch in different cities. I also conformed that candidates who applied with city other then Islamabad can be contacted later.

Home sweet home! This might be one of your favorite slogans about your home. Yes, a home deserved to be called sweet. It is for sure home where one can get the best restful atmosphere that one can never find at any other place. I am at my home after a long time that’s why I feel great to conceive that there is no other place like home that makes me feel like this. It’s so blessed when you live with your parents. The funny thing here is that I go with my own limitations & own regulations regarding eating & sleeping. I managed to cook myself when wants to taste something new. Move around to the neighborhood when wishes to meet old friends. You can defiantly makes a solid argument about how good is to be at home. when you live far away at some other city at a rented private apartment over a busy road & hardly get a chance once in a moth to visit your very own home. My home is not besides the beach in Dubai that you people are wondering about why I am writing about it. In fact there is nothing special in home but what make the difference is the people living there.

However let me tell you that in the near future I am going to renovate few portions of my home. That includes my personal bedroom & the bathroom. Some sitting units in the Bedroom furniture needed alteration & some has be repalced with new ones which I have to do from any good furniture showroom. Moreover a new paint work makes it look good.

With the boom in IT the architect of computer & its related product has been modified or changed from time to time, let’s see the example of monitor, a visual display unit. In past a bulky CRT monitor was used as a visual display unit, now with the arrival of LCD, a smarter solution for display came in the market. The production & marketing of conventional CRT monitors is almost closed by most of computer manufacturers. Philips one of the well known brand in the manufacturing of CRT monitors has closed the manufacturing plant of CRT monitors in china. Now they are producing LCD monitors with different sizes. Similarly HP, IBM, ACER, LG, VIEWSONIC & few other brands are also producing LCDs. Most of them have their production plant in China due to availability of cheap labor & raw material. In fact it is hard to find a new CRT monitor in the market these days. If someone shopkeeper has old stock then there is a possibility but why to buy CRT when there is smart LCD screens available with less price margins.

The technology used in CRT & LCD is completely changed from each other. CRT stands for “cathode ray tube” which means that there is a series of picture tubes behind the screen that makes images when charged by electricity. On the other hand LCD is an abbreviation of “liquid crystal display” that contains a liquid base in its screen enabling zero radiation from direct eye contact. LCD is good when it came to power consumption. Its 17 inch screen can use 36 watts of electric current while an average CRT monitor can consume 250 watts of electricity while in use. Due to the sharpness of colors in CRT monitor Web masters & graphic designers recommends CRT monitor for designing different level of graphics or working with web hosting reviews in their professional life. However the recent SRGP technology (technology that enables accuracy in colors that come in prints the same as viewed on LCD screen) focus to eliminate drawbacks of LCDs & introduced different models for Graphic designers as well.

When we talk about dissemination of information & entertainment. Mass media can be the best answer, but however if we see the broader aspect of media, we came to know that media is not all about informing & entertaining people. The time is arrived where the collective strength of any nation can be judged from its media strength. So as a matter of fact the passion for power of any nation is not just by getting stronger in military terms but also from the factor of media strength these days.

The reason I didn’t choose journalism as a full time profession after getting a degree in mass communication is still not revealed in this blog. So let me put some facts in front of you. It is however worth saying that electronic media in the recent few years got extensive boom & a number of TV channels entered Pakistani media circle. But however on the other hand majority practicle journalists is still unable to get the fruit of this development. I personally witness many of my talented batch fellows who after getting 1st class masters degree & junior English courses can’t even managed to cover their own expenditures while working as a reporter at well known English daily. Infect this is the great mockery with graduates that when they join their careers, simultaneously they face problems regarding compensation. It is truth that a large number of journalist in Pakistan are predominantly unpaid, the main problem that journalist community face is financial. On the other hand job insecurity & lack of freedom to report & publish information makes this profession more difficult for fresh graduates. So the output is they prefer to do any other job in the market.

Now the question is how many of the unpaid or low paid journalist meets their expenses? This is the question no body can answer exactly but i can make an orgument about it. Infact there is a silent group of people (Politicians, industralists, foreign spys etc) who exist behind the journalist community, they bribe them time to time & make them use for their own deeds. This un balanced & premature media often present biased facts, this is obvious in situations when there are corruptions at different levels. So i concluded here that in one hand the journalist in pakistan didn’t have any job security & financial strength when it came to compensation, while on the other hand he can enjoy a portfolio with the power to make or destroy images & can made mansion from their undisclosed income if they want.
