Exports declines due to unstable political situation in the country!
setting up foreign trade in international competitive scenario a difficult task. every firm strives to achieve good reputation regarding customer satisfaction & consumer welfare. but despite this there is a high degree of political risk involve in export business, the internal political instability at any side (buyer or seller) lead one of the party to terminate or reduce business deals. the political instability in pakistan like (lal masjid issue, waziristan military operation, suicide bombs problem , judicial crisis, military operation in swat, then imposition of emergency & the ban of media TV channels) this year is the major reason for the downfall in exports. pakistan is one of the biggest exporter of cotton & sports goods but this year the overall international trade is too low if we compare it with last year. but however the growth in technology make it easy to deal with overseas orders. for examle! Video Conferencing Systems is best practice to manage business meetings in situations when physically both the parties are not healthy to meet. many MNCs (multi national companies ) in pakistan like uniliver, nestle etc as well as telecome companies like warid & telenor use this system, this is the best option to deal business meetings efficiently & effectively.
The decline in international trade is well understand when we see fluctuations in shares buying & selling this year. Karachi’s stock exchange enjoys boost in trade last year but this year the stock market is treated horribly wrong.
